Coin Games is the arcade filler that stuck on my home screen

I download a lot of arcade games and most of them last about one commute before they get wiped. Coin Games was supposed to be another of those. Instead it earned a spot on my first home screen page, which is the real test for me.

The hook is the combo system. You flick a coin along a little obstacle track, hop over gaps, and keep a chain alive by not fumbling. The moment you break a long chain stings just enough to make you tap retry immediately. That's the whole trick of a good arcade loop, and Coin Games nails it.

Controls deserve a shout. It's all one thumb: tap for a short hop, hold to charge a longer arc. I almost never felt like a miss was the game's fault rather than mine, and that honesty is what keeps you playing instead of rage-quitting.

If you want advice: don't grind the endless mode first. Start with the precision set to learn the arc timing, then the time-attack mode clicks much faster. The chime on a perfect pickup is a small thing but it does something to your brain.

It's not a deep game and it doesn't try to be. It's a clean, tightly-made arcade that respects your time. For quick sessions it's one of the better free arcades I've played this year.
