Ember Hollow Saga
Ember Hollow Saga is the kind of mobile RPG that doesn't treat you like you have a five-second attention span. You build a party of four, mix classes, and plan fights around elemental weaknesses and turn order. The battles are turn-based and deliberate, and the harder encounters punish you for mashing attack without thinking.
The world is drawn by hand and it shows. Towns feel lived in, and there's a surprising amount of optional lore tucked into side quests. Progression is steady rather than grindy, which I appreciated, since too many mobile RPGs pad the runtime with filler battles.
My one complaint is the inventory menu, which gets cluttered later on. But the story kept me coming back, and the final act has a couple of fights I genuinely had to rethink my whole build for. For a phone RPG that's a high bar cleared.
