Coin Games

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Coin Games surprised me. On the surface it looks like a simple tap-to-bounce arcade, but once you start chaining pickups through the little obstacle courses it clicks into something genuinely satisfying. You flick a coin along a track, time your jumps over gaps, and keep the combo meter alive by not missing. Miss once and the chain resets, so there's that one-more-run pull.

Controls are the strong point here. Everything is handled with one thumb: tap to hop, hold to charge a longer arc. It reads your timing well and I rarely felt cheated by a missed input, which is not something I can say about a lot of touch arcades. The levels are short, around a minute each, so it fits perfectly into those small gaps in the day.

The mode variety keeps it fresh. There's a time-attack set, a precision set where you thread narrow lanes, and an endless mode that ramps up speed until you slip. Visually it's clean and colorful without being loud, and the sound design has a nice little chime for each perfect pickup that makes the combo feel earned.
